Paangi is India's dedicated online learning academy for Jacquard and embroidery design. We were founded with a single purpose: to bring professional, industry-ready textile design education to weavers, designers, mill workers, and entrepreneurs across India — wherever they are, and at their own pace.
We believe that the knowledge held by experienced textile professionals should not remain confined to factories and design studios. Paangi was born out of a frustration shared by many in the textile industry: skilled weavers and mill workers who spent years on the loom had no structured way to upgrade into design roles. Design schools were expensive and city-based. Informal training was inconsistent. Good resources in regional languages were almost nonexistent.
We set out to change that. Starting from Salem, Tamil Nadu — in the heart of South India's textile belt — we built a platform that combines the rigour of professional design training with the accessibility of online learning.
